Luke is an award-listed novelist, short story writer, editor, and creative writing academic. He holds both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Creative Writing from Kingston University and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has taught creative writing workshops in Higher Education and currently mentors creative writing students at the University of Westminster, London, guiding writers on both their creative and professional paths.

His PhD novel Bad Blood was shortlisted for multiple awards, including the Amazon New Voices Award (2022) and Bloody Scotland’s Pitch Perfect (2021), where it was shortlisted under the title Wasteland. Alongside his novels, Luke has published dozens of short stories, co-edited several short story collections—including the Amazon bestseller Virtual Noir at the Bar—and written numerous scripts for award-winning docu-drama podcasts.

Luke was a judge for the Crime Writers’ Association’s 2025 Twisted Dagger award and regularly writes reviews for the popular website Get Your Comic On….

He is a member of the Society of Authors and the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, and a former member of the Crime Writers’ Association.
